Tabb pitcher Gray Goodrich threw a complete game, striking out nine batters and allowing four hits during a 6-0 win at home against Bruton on Wednesday.

Both teams were held scoreless through the first three innings before Tabb put up its first runs of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Hunter Watson started the scoring with an RBI single to left field. With the Tigers now holding a 1-0 lead, Evan Glass tacked on two more runs with a two-run single into left field that put Tabb up 3-0.

The Tigers kept the momentum rolling in the bottom of the fifth inning as Jake Berrena belted a line drive into center field that scored Nick Hunter.

Goodrich finished the game’s scoring by hitting a two-run single into left field later in the inning.

Both Tabb (3-2) and Bruton (2-4) face quick turnarounds. The Tigers will visit York, while the Panthers will host Jamestown.

Warhill Beats Grafton for First Win of Season

Clutch offense in the bottom of the sixth inning resulted in Warhill’s 4-2 victory at home against Grafton, the first win of the season for the Lions.

Warhill starting pitcher Aharon Davidson and Grafton starter Joey Majowitz were locked in a pitcher’s duel in the early innings.

After three scoreless innings to begin play, Warhill logged its first run in the bottom of the fourth inning to go up 1-0.

Grafton responded in the top of the sixth inning with a pair of runs scored by Dylan Tenney and Jacob McAllister.

With the Clippers leading 2-1, Warhill reeled off three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to retake the lead.

Lions relief pitcher Reece Koon earned the save as he managed to secure the win in the seventh inning.

Warhill (1-5) will resume its season April 12 on the road against New Kent, while Grafton (1-5) will host York that same day.
