The Riverwalk Landing piers will open for the season Friday, a month earlier than previous years.
The piers will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 31.
Riverwalk Landing provides 1,200 linear feet of dockage on the York River in Yorktown. Electricity, water and sewer pump-out are available pier side.
For additional docking, a second pier is located behind Riverwalk Restaurant and offers similar amenities as well as a public shower and restroom facility for overnight guests. Wi-Fi also is available during overnight dockage.
The piers provide overnight stays as well as day trips for recreational boaters. The piers are a short walk to attractions, restaurants, shops and a public beach and picnic area. Boaters can also utilize the free Yorktown trolley service.
The piers are home to Yorktown’s homeported ships, the Schooners Alliance and Serenity, which return for the opening of the season and offer daily sailing and sunset sails as well as Pirate Adventure Cruises. The piers also host many cruise ship and tall ship visits throughout the year.
The public piers are available to recreational vessels for docking at $5 for four hours or less, and $1.75 per foot per 24 hours for more than four hours.
Reservations for docking space at the Riverwalk Landing piers can be made year-round. For reservations, please contact York County’s dockmaster at 757-890-3370 or email@example.com.
