The Gallery at York Hall will open for its 15th season Friday.
Located in Yorktown’s York Hall at 301 Main St., the gallery is operated by the Celebrate Yorktown Committee and managed by volunteer Sharon Owen.
The gallery features a variety of themed exhibits that change every six to eight weeks. It will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.
Increasing the awareness of high quality art in the community and showcasing historic Yorktown as an arts destination, the exhibits feature the works of more than 30 local artists, according to a recent news release from York County.
The gallery’s more than 30 volunteers also serve the community by maintaining a visitor
information area, offering brochures, maps, discounts and service to more than 18,000 visitors annually.
Spring exhibits at the gallery include quilts, mixed media, photography and watercolors,
featuring appearances by local photography artist David Mitchell on May 8 and watercolor artist
Hazel Camp with a demo scheduled for June 12.

Dec. 4: Cookies with Santa event, children may visit with Santa while parents do holiday shopping. Cameras are encouraged.
