Jamestown’s defense shut down Warhill during a 9-1 win at home Friday evening behind strong pitching from Ryan Devine, who threw 6 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and one earned run.
After a scoreless first inning, the Eagles scored their first run of the game in the bottom of the second inning as Josh Nellis smacked a single to left field and drove home Garrick Colorado.
The Eagles tacked on four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 5-0 lead over the Lions.
Another run in the bottom of the fifth inning and three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning essentially put the game out of reach for the Lions, who scored their lone run in the top of the seventh inning.
Jamestown (3-1) will host Hickory on Tuesday, while Warhill (0-4) will look for its first win of the season Tuesday at home against Poquoson.

Lafayette Survives Late York Rally Attempt
Lafayette got a critical out in the bottom of the eighth inning with the bases loaded to hang on for a 7-4 road win against York on Friday.
The Rams and Falcons played back-and-forth ball through the first six innings. Trailing York 3-2 in the top of the seventh inning, Lafayette scored the game-tying run to send the game into extra innings.
Lafayette kept the momentum rolling in the top of the eighth inning, scoring four runs to put York in a dire situation heading into the bottom of the inning.
The Falcons managed to load the bases with the go-ahead run at the plate, but a groundout ended the contest.
Lafayette (4-0) will travel to play Grafton on Tuesday, while York (2-1) will try to rebound Tuesday on the road against Bruton.
