Ricky W. Brown, 60, employed with Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for 10 years

On Thursday, March 17, 2016, our beloved, husband, father and brother, Ricky W. Brown, suddenly departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

He was born on January 17, 1956, the son of the late Mary Elizabeth and Edward Brown, of Williamsburg.

At an early age, he confessed his faith in Christ and later became a member of Rising Sun Baptist Church in Lackey. He was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools. Ricky retired as a maintainer from Ball Metal after 35 years of dedicated service. He was also formerly employed with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for 10 years.

His precious memories will always be treasured by his wife of 27 years, Michelle; daughters, Richelle Brown, Arieya Williams (Donte) and Nichelle Lawton (Elijah); sons, Ricky Fauntleroy, Eric Brown, Joseph Brown and Jermar Brown; sister, Gaile Brown; his brothers, Wesley Brown (Raydene) and Donald Brown (Marjorie); devoted sister-in-law, Farie Tabb; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; aunts and uncles and a great-aunt; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.

Mr. Brown may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Whiting’s Funeral Home, Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, at New Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Robert A. Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 439 Ashton Green Blvd. by 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 24.
