Spring is in the air, and several organizations around the Historic Triangle are hosting Easter egg hunts ahead of the holiday next weekend.
Egg Hunt on the Green
Walsingham Academy is hosting its sixth annual Egg Hunt on the Green on Saturday.
This free event includes not only egg hunting for kids up to age seven but also face painting, activities and an appearance from the Easter Bunny.
The hunt will be divided into age groups and one lucky winner in each age group will pick up an egg with a special voucher for a grand prize.
This event beings at 10 a.m. and is free, but RSVPs are requested. Click here to send yours and then hop on over.
Community Easter Egg Hunt
Jamestown Presbyterian Church’s annual Community Easter Egg Hunt has moved to Carlton Farms this year and begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Boasting thousands of eggs hidden as far as the eye can see, this hunt will also feature face painting, pony rides, hay rides, prizes and snacks. This event is free and open to the public.
Wellspring Easter Egg Hunt
Head over to Wellspring United Methodist Church for a free Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday. Bring your basket and head on over for egg hunting as well as a cake walk, crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny.
Easter Egg Extravaganza
One of the area’s largest and most popular egg hunts – the Easter Egg Extravaganza – will take place Saturday, March 26 at the Warhill Sports Complex and the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center.
James City County and Williamsburg’s parks and recreation departments are partnering up to hide more than 10,000 eggs around the baseball fields.
The hunts are divided by age group up to age seven and will begin at 9:30 a.m. March 26 at the sports complex and 1 p.m. at the community center. Grab your Easter basket and camera and head on over for this free event.
Great Easter Egg Hunt
Bring the family over to Lee Hall in Yorktown for the ninth annual Great Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26. The Easter Bunny will be on-hand for games and photo opportunities set against the backdrop of the grounds of this mid-19th century plantation home. Kids up to age 12 are welcome and admission is $5 per child.
