On Sunday, March 6, 2016, Geneva Gasway answered the Master’s call, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center.
Her life began on September 6, 1964, the daughter of Cathy Mae McMiller and the late Roosevelt McMiller. She was member of Colossian Baptist Church and the Usher Board.
Mrs. Gasway was also preceded in death by her brother, Clarence McMiller. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Kevin O. Gasway Sr.; her mother, Cathy Mae McMiller; her sons, Kevin O. Gasway Jr. (O’Shay) and Keenan Gasway; her sisters, Classie Wandix, Jeanette McMiller, Kathy McMiller and Maria McMiller (Rodney), all of St. Louis, Laverne Jackson of Ohio, and Hazel Moore, of Atlanta, Ga.; her brothers, Roosevelt McMiller (Maria), RC McMiller, Christopher McMiller (Julia) and Lewis McMiller (Roxann), all of St. Louis; and other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A funeral service celebrating the life she lived will be held at noon on Friday, March 11, at Colossian Baptist Church with the Rev. Peter A. Evans officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 3435 Lindsey Lane by 10:45 a.m. Friday.
Mrs. Gasway may be viewed in Colossian Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 10. A final celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, March 18, at Kinloch Church of God, 8015 Wesley Ave., St. Louis, MO 63140. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.
