Tabb’s club lacrosse team started its season with a bang, routing Poquoson 22-2 on the road Monday.

Leading the way for Tabb was Sydney Blacklock, who logged five goals and four assists. Hannah Robinson posted three goals and two assists, and All-American Jessica Sawyer added a goal and three assists.

The Tigers jumped on Poquoson in the first half, asserting their dominance and never looking back. By halftime, Tabb held a comfortable 12-0 lead.

That lead continued growing in the second half as Tabb added another 10 goals until the final whistle blew.

Tabb (1-0) will continue its season with a game against Walsingham Academy on Thursday.

Grafton Opens Season with Win Over Jamestown

Helen Harris scored five goals to help lead Grafton to a season-opening 8-7 win against Jamestown on Monday.

The Clippers also talliedĀ goals from Mallory Coolidge, Erin Malone and Meghan Malone in the win. Mackenzie Reynolds logged an assist for Grafton.

Grafton (1-0) will host Menchville on Friday, while Jamestown (0-1) will have a long break before returning to play a road game against Tabb next Monday.
