Clinton “Norman” Smith, 76, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016.

Known to his friends as “Stormin’ Norman,” he was a native of Carroll County and Peninsula resident for many years. He never met a stranger and always had a wonderful story to tell.  He loved to go fishing and deer hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vergis and Thelma Smith; a sister, Pearl and a brother, Clyde.  He is survived by his brothers, Robert and Dean.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, in Monta Vista Memory Garden, Galax, where he will be placed next to his parents. Friends are encouraged to stop by Amory Funeral Home, 410 Grafton Drive, Grafton, from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, thru Thursday, March 10, to sign his book.
