Maggie Hall Haynes, 94, of West Point, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016.

She was a lifelong member of West Point United Methodist Church, where she was active in many capacities. Her life purpose seemed to be caring for others, a job she did exceptionally well.

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Otway Haynes; two sons, Jessie W. Haynes and Herbert ‘Putsy’ Haynes; and a grandson, Wesley Wyatt. She is survived by her daughters, Mary H. Wyatt and Joyce H. Bristow (Willard); a son, William ‘Bill’ Haynes (Jane); grandchildren, Ralph Saunders (Julie), Cherie Pugh (Milton), Elaine Wyatt, Marty Wyatt, Joy McCloud (Chris), Willard Bristow III, Kim Bristow, Jerry Bristow (Shirley), Floyd Haynes (Barbara), Don Lynn Haynes, Charles Haynes (Lacey), Terry Johnson (George), Sara Haynes, Stephanie Weaver (Kory) and Jessica Chang (Pete); as well as many great-grandchildren; and her brother, Monroe Hall (Mildred).

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, with the funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery, West Point.
