Those looking to stay active during their lunch breaks may partake in Daytime Hatha Yoga through the City of Williamsburg Parks and Recreation Department starting March 3.
Held at the Quarterpath Recreation Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., hatha yoga puts practitioners through various positions designed to strengthen the midsection and body, while also encouraging meditative thought.
The classes will be led by instructor Amy Rowe.
Individuals interested in the Daytime Hatha Yoga program may sign up for a five-week session that runs from March 3 to March 31 or a four-week session lasting from April 7 to April 28.
Registration for the multi-week sessions may be completed up until the day the classes begin. The March sessions can be purchased for $30, while the April sessions cost $24. For those not interested in committing to a set of classes, drop-ins are welcome at a cost of $8.50 per class.
To register for the classes, visit the Quarterpath Recreation Center or call 757-259-3760.
