Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance wants to help people find part- and full-time employment that suits them with the Williamsburg Area Career Fair.
Slated for Tuesday, March 8 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Williamsburg, the annual career fair is an opportunity for area job seekers to “find a career path perfect for them” as well as for local employers to gain access to a wealth of local talent, according to a recent news release from the Alliance.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., employer booths will be open and accepting applications for both full- and part-time positions. Exhibitor space is still available and the Alliance is urging any business looking to hire to “take advantage of hours of prime recruiting time and the chance to receive applications from several hundred job seekers,” according to the release.
Career fair attendees will not only have the opportunity to be considered by the many employers on site but also to gain skills and advice they can carry with them into their future job searching endeavors.
The fair will include numerous clinics touching on topics that range from sprucing up your résumé to building interview skills to words of wisdom from career speakers.
New this year, the career fair will also feature specialized clinics that offer specific help for transitioning military.
Laptops will be available on site to allow attendees to search for and apply to jobs online.
This event is free and open to the public. Exhibit space is $300 for Alliance members and $400 for non-members, and there will be an additional fee for electricity and extra tables. Exhibitor registration forms must be received by Feb. 19 and can be downloaded here.
