Williamsburg Christian Academy came up just short during a 40-39 road loss against Norfolk Christian on Friday.
Entering Friday’s game on a three-game win streak, WCA found itself on the wrong end of an upset-minded Norfolk Christian, which the Eagles had defeated 44-25 earlier in the season.

Norfolk Christian battled back in the third quarter, outpacing WCA 16-9 to pull within one point of the Eagles heading into the final quarter. Over the final eight minutes of play, Norfolk Christian did just enough to eke past WCA by one point for the upset victory.
WCA (11-4) will look to rebound Tuesday on the road against Broadwater Academy.
