Virginia Business Magazine, in cooperation with the Virginia Bar Association, has recently recognized attorney Tameeka Montgomery Williams of the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia as a member of Virginia’s Legal Elite.

Williams has been with the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia – an organization that provides high-quality civil legal services to low-income and disadvantaged people in 15 cities and counties, including James City County, York County and the City of Williamsburg – since 2005. She currently serves as the director of pro bono & private attorney involvement.

In addition to being selected by her legal peers as one of the top Virginia lawyers in the category of Legal Services/Pro Bono for 2015, Williams was also recognized last year as one of the “Top 40 Under 40,” by Inside Business, the Hampton Roads business journal.

Williams also serves as the chairwoman of the community programs committee for the South Hampton Roads Bar Association and president of the Fairmount Park Civic League in Norfolk.

She currently resides in Norfolk with her husband and three children.
