NavigatorsHampton Roads Academy won its seventh consecutive game after taking out Portsmouth Christian 71-62 at home Thursday evening.

Anthony Picott led the Navigators with a game-high 31 points, while Brian Hart added 19 points. Patrick Phillips chipped in 10 points for the Navigators.

After falling behind by three points after the first quarter, Hampton Roads Academy dominated the second quarter by outscoring Portsmouth Christian 17-5.

By halftime, Hampton Roads Academy held a 33-24 lead over Portsmouth Christian.

The Navigators continued their strong play in the second half, outscoring Portsmouth Christian 22-13 in the third quarter before cruising to the finish line in the fourth quarter.

HRA (10-6) will try to extend its win streak on the road against Peninsula Catholic on Friday.
