WJCC, York Schools to Remain Closed Tuesday

The exam week schedule for Williamsburg James City County Schools and York County School Division need another adjustment, as the division announced schools would remain closed Tuesday.

Tuesday’s closure is the third consecutive snow day for both school divisions.

Twelve-month employees for both divisions should report to work on a two-hour delay.

Williamsburg Christian Academy will also be closed Tuesday.

YCSD students will have early release days on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; middle and high school exams will be taken on these days and on Monday, which will remain a regular school day.

Williamsburg-James City County Schools has not yet announced its plan for the exam schedule.

After Monday’s closure was announced, the exam schedule for middle and high schools – originally slated for Tuesday and Wednesday – had been moved to Wednesday and Thursday for students who chose to take the exams. WJCC said it would release its exam schedule on Tuesday.

Williamsburg Montessori School has announced it would have a delayed opening. Drop-off time for middle and lower elementary school will be between 9 and 9:15 a.m.; toddler, children’s house and upper elementary drop-off is slated for between 9:15 and 9:30 a.m.
