Williamsburg Christian Academy got back to its winning ways Wednesday when the Eagles won a 54-43 home game against St. Gertrude.

Armani Franklin and Charnissa Chillers carried the scoring load for WCA in the first half, as both girls contributed 11 points for the Eagles over the first two quarters.

Bolstered by the scoring efforts of Franklin and Chillers, WCA established a solid 30-23 halftime advantage over St. Gertrude.

The second half was not quite as comfortable for the Eagles, but WCA played well enough to keep St. Gertrude at bay. WCA extended its lead by one point in the third quarter and another three points in the fourth quarter.

WCA (9-3) will continue its season on the road against Denbigh Baptist Christian on Tuesday.
