Williamsburg Christian Academy was handed a tough 73-47 loss on the road against Miller School on Saturday.
While the Eagles struggled to contain Miller School’s Aby Morrill, who had 26 points and seven 3-pointers, they also faced tough competition from former WCA student Imani Bryant, who scored 17 points against her former team.
The Eagles struggled to deal with Miller School’s size from the outset and could not get into an offensive rhythm.
Miller School jumped on WCA 16-7 in the first quarter before extending its lead to 38-17 by halftime.
The second half was more of the same as Miller School dominated on both ends of the court during what proved a comfortable victory.
WCA (8-3) will look to rebound at home against St. Gertrude on Wednesday.
