James City County Recreation Center to Serve as Warming Center

As temperatures begin to drop, James City County is opening its doors to help keep citizens warm.

Citizens and visitors can escape the cold by dropping by the James City County Recreation Center, located at 5301 Longhill Road, during normal operating hours: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays.

The Community of Faith Mission is also offering relief from the cold weather for those in need through their winter nighttime sheltering program at local churches.
