It was a slow week for Historic Triangle athletes, as college teams are playing fewer games with winter break approaching.

There were standout performances in men’s and women’s basketball, however. Local standouts were led by Marcus Carter, who helped Christopher Newport University upset No. 12 Virginia Wesleyan.

Each week throughout the school year, WYDaily will keep you up to date on what Historic Triangle athletes and coaches have been up to since high school graduation.
