Tabb scored a big win at the Lady Knights Classic at Thomas Dale High School on Saturday.

Behind 20 points from Brianna Harper, Tabb was able to knock off previously unbeaten Petersburg 51-43.

After a slow first half from both teams, Tabb was able to find its offensive rhythm thanks to Harper and Imani McDowell-Jarmon, who had 10 points for the Tigers.

Petersburg made a late push in the second half and pulled within three points of Tabb in the fourth quarter. Tabb’s defense held tough and the Tigers were able to outlast Petersburg.

Tabb (6-0) will look to continue its hot start to the season when the Tigers hit the road to play Smithfield Tuesday.

Granby Tops Grafton in King’s Fork Showcase

The Clippers struggled to deal with the size of Granby, which features the imposing 6-foot-1 frame of center Danielle Varner.

Grafton (2-3) will put the showcase behind and look toward a Tuesday road game against Lafayette.
