For the second consecutive season, Bruton’s Gabby Calloway was recognized as a first-team All-State volleyball player.

Calloway, a sophomore, led the Panthers to an appearance in the Conference 33 semifinals before losing in four sets to Washington & Lee.

With another year under her belt following a standout freshman campaign, Calloway became a more well-rounded player on offense and defense in 2015.

Calloway recorded a team-high 258 kills and 308 digs, as well as 37 aces for the Panthers this season.

“All of us at Bruton are proud of what she has accomplished,” Bruton Coach Kevin Doloresco said. “What she’s accomplished so far is phenomenal. She improved in all areas of the game and was a great leader for us. I couldn’t take her off the court being the verbal captain and team leader.”
