Williamsburg Christian Academy rallied from a slow first half to defeat Portsmouth Christian on the road 58-52 Tuesday.
After a solid first quarter from WCA, Portsmouth Christian responded with a commanding second half, outscoring the Eagles 21-8 and taking a 27-19 lead heading into halftime.
Andre Brown, Cle’Von Greene and Da’Shawn Cook came up big for WCA in the second half and sparked the comeback.
Brown scored all seven of his points in the third quarter, while Greene scored six points to help the Eagles pull within one point of Portsmouth Christian heading into the final quarter.
Greene and Cook went off in the fourth quarter, with Greene scoring 11 points in the quarter and Cook adding five to help WCA earn the hard-fought victory.
WCA (3-0) will prepare to travel to Steward School on Thursday.
