Thomas Tingle, president of New Town-based Guernsey Tingle Architects, has been selected as one of the 2015 Design Award Judges for the Focus on Excellence, Best of NAIOP Northern Virginia competition.

The judges met at McGuireWoods in Tysons Corner last month to consider 58 entries in 12 categories including commercial interior design, retail, mixed-use, building re-positioning and institutional facilities.

Winners will be announced later this month.

Tingle brought to the jury panel more than 30 years of architectural experience. His firm has received more than 35 design awards in the past 20 years based on projects completed up from Maryland down to Florida.
