Midstream Technology, a technology development firm, has relocated to new offices in the Busch Corporate Center in James City County.
Formerly based at 5300 Palmer Lane near New Town, Midstream Technology moved to its new, larger space at 309 McLaws Circle for multiple reasons.
The Greater Williamsburg business incubator site, which served as a combined mail drop and conference room for Midstream Technology, relocated above Paul’s Deli in New Town in September.
A new incubator location meant increased rates, which combined with increased employment by Midstream Technology was enough to cause Director of Midstream Technology Sam McClintock to explore new locations.
McClintock also joked the new incubator location was too “pretty” for some of the work being done by Midstream Technology.
“We needed lab space and room to get dirty without worrying about dirtying things up,” he said.
McClintock said new Midstream Technology location in the Busch Corporate Center is a great fit for his company, which also partners with the College of William & Mary.
Not only does Busch Corporate Center office keep Midstream Technology within close proximity of William & Mary, the location is also appealing for engineers who might be commuting from Richmond or Hampton Roads because of its accessibility from Interstate 64.
“It’s a nice multi-use facility,” McClintock said. “McLaws Circle is fantastic.”
