The Warhill boys cross-country team took first place during Tuesday’s Group 3A East Regional Championships, while Tabb’s girls took second place.
Warhill’s boys finished with a meet-best 56 points, while Tabb took fourth place with 106 points. York finished in 10th place with 262 points.
Daniel Cretney of Warhill was the top Historic Triangle finisher in the boys race. Cretney took seventh place in a time of 16:55, while his teammate Matthew Hrncir was eighth in a time of 17:18.
Warhill’s Braden Troy Wilson logged a 12th-place finish in 17:48, while Spencer Conti was 13th with a time of 17:49. Hezekiah Hayes was the final Warhill scorer in 23rd place with a time of 18:22.
Tabb was led by Preston Klekar, who took 11th place in a time of 17:48. Andre Jones was 14th overall in a time of 17:53, while Jacob Kaminer took 18th in 18:03. James Fiocca logged a 31st-place finish in 18:30, and Phillip Arcara finished in 44th with a time of 18:58.
York’s boys were led by Noah Fields in 29th place with a time of 18:25. Liam Kempton was next for York in 52nd place in 19:19, while teammate Ryan Born took 59th place with a time of 19:47. Cale Overstreet was 62nd in 20:06, while Nicholas Olson finished 65th in a time of 20:11.
Tabb’s girls finished in second place with 44 points, which was 14 points behind winners Brentsville. Warhill took fifth place with 107 team points.
Lindsey Blanks of Tabb won the girls race in a time of 19:22. Tabb’s Lauren Blanks finished fifth with a time of 20:55, while Kallie Wolf took 10th place in a time of 21:43. Emma Stephens (22:23) and Kasandra Aulenbach (22:36.90) finished in 16th and 17th, respectively.
Warhill was led by Hannah Hrncir in third place with a time of 20:22. Martina Watson finished in 20th with a time of 22:46, while Sianna Ferguson took 24th-place in 22:58. Lauren Dansereau logged a 35th-place finish with a time of 24:49, while Faith Lovell was the final Warhill scorer in 39th place in 25:29.
York’s two runners — Lori Prieto and Hannah Johns — finished in ninth and 27th, respectively. Prieto finished with a time of 21:39, while Johns finished the race in 23:51.
