Nate Green will serve another four years as the Williamsburg-James City County Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Green, a Republican who will serve his third four-year term, has run unopposed since his first election in 2007.

“I’m excited and humbled to be given this opportunity to continue to serve both justice and the citizens of Williamsburg and James City County,” Green said in a statement to WYDaily. “Over the next four years, I promise to address the the complexities of this job with the same excitement and dedication as I did when I was first elected, only now with the benefits of eight years of experience and lessons learned.”

Green collected 15,790 votes Tuesday out of 15,986 ballots cast in the race, or 98.77percent. The City of Williamsburg and James City County have a combined total of 63,270 registered voters.

Write-in candidates received 196 votes, or 1.23 percent of the total.

All election results are considered unofficial until a formal results review, which begins Wednesday, is completed and all provisional ballots are counted.
