Susan Boykin Dudley, of Yorktown, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was 53.

She was a native of Salisbury, North Carolina and a resident of Yorktown for 25 years. She was an office assistant for Huntington Ingalls Industries, Newport News Shipbuilding for seven years and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Yorktown. She was also an AWANA Club leader for over 25 years.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Teddy Ray Boykin.

She is survived by her husband, Mark R. Dudley; daughters, Ashley L. Shortt and her husband Michael and Natalie K. Dudley; son, Adam Z. Dudley; mother, Dolores E. Boykin; and brother, Timothy R. Boykin.

The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church, followed by a celebration of life at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry at Bethel Baptist Church or Haiti Missions, 1004 Yorktown Road, Yorktown, VA 23693.
