Busch Gardens guests will have new dining and entertainment options during the 2016 season.
The park announced Saturday it would have a new restaurant, craft beer room and evening show in an email to pass members.
When the amusement park reopens for the 2016 summer season, a yet-to-be-named market-style restaurant will replace Ristorante della Piazza in the Italy section.
The new restaurant, which is based on Marco Polo’s journey, will eliminate the buffet lines in an effort to create a more relaxing dining experience for those who enjoy Italian, Mediterranean and Asian foods.
“We’re bringing the flavors of the world to the world’s most beautiful theme park,” said Busch Gardens Culinary Vice President Franz Kitenko. “And, we are excited to introduce a new open design that will enhance the dining experience for our guests with less wait and more options.”
Construction on the new restaurant will begin in November.
Those who want to enjoy a quality beer during their visit to Busch Gardens should visit the new craft beer room that will open in Das Festhaus next spring.
The room will feature 30 local and regional craft beers.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a new show during their visit next year.
A show that will put a contemporary spin on the classic Three Musketeers will be slated as a new evening show at the Royal Palace Theatre.
The show will embrace new technology and take advantage of the night sky, visible from the open-air theater.
“An evening performance opens up a world of possibilities for an open-air venue like the Royal Palace Theatre,” said the park’s Entertainment Director Peter Dunklee. “Playing with light and shadow in the night air lets us immerse the audience into the storyline like never before. It’s definitely something worth staying late for.”
