Walsingham Academy has announced the hire of a new director of advancement.
Devin Arnold, a Virginia native and Roanoke College graduate, will lead the independent school’s fundraising efforts, the school said in a news release last week.
Arnold comes to Walsingham from Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, where he managed the school’s alumni fundraising.
He will oversee Walsingham’s efforts in annual campaigns, scholarship and endowment campaigns, planned giving, capital needs campaigns and special events, the release said.
“We are pleased to have Devin Arnold join our leadership team. His demonstrated leadership and fundraising skills will enable us to continue to implement a comprehensive advancement strategy that will fully engage alumni, parents, and the larger community in the mission of Walsingham Academy,” said Sister Mary Jeanne Oesterle, president of Walsingham Academy.
Arnold said he looks forward to supporting Walsingham’s mission of offering a rigorous college preparatory curriculum while nurturing students’ “sense of social awareness and spirituality” in his new role.
“It is an exciting time to join Walsingham Academy and I am honored to serve on its leadership team. I am looking forward to meeting all of the Walsingham families, as well as members of the larger Hampton Roads community,” Arnold said.
