Three homes in Yorkshire Downs were hit by bullets in two separate incidents Tuesday.

Deputies from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Lord Pelham Way in the early morning hours Tuesday to find a house had been shot, according to a news released posted on YPSO’s Facebook page.

An investigation led deputies to believe the shots were fired in response to an earlier argument between a neighbor and another person, who is currently unknown to deputies.

Around 9:27 p.m. Tuesday, shots were fired in the 100 block of Edwards Court – in the same Tabb neighborhood – and two homes were struck by bullets, the news release said.

A witness told investigators the shots came from two vehicles and the shooters seemed to be aiming at each other.

The cars were described as a white Ford Mustang and a silver or gray sedan.

No one was injured in either incident.

It is unknown whether the two incidents are related.
