Literacy For Life is putting out the call for community sponsors for its upcoming Williamsburg International Food + Arts Festival.
The festival, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on September 19, will benefit Literacy for Life, a local organization dedicated to improving adult literacy in the Historic Triangle. It will take place at the William and Mary School of Education.
The festival is expected to draw more than a thousand attendees and will include several multicultural demonstrations and live performances, including Tae Kwon Do, ethnic dances, Chinese paper cutting and calligraphy.
There will also be food from many cultures and continents, in addition to Alewerks and other craft beers available for purchase.
More than 30 vendors of arts and crafts, jewelry, homemade soaps and more will be on site. Several local nonprofits and cultural groups will also be represented.
Literacy For Life is looking for sponsors at multiple levels to join in for the inaugural year of this event.
The top level of sponsorship, Global Sponsor, is available to one organization for $10,000. This sponsorship includes, but is not limited to, tagline acknowledgment in the official title of the event, featured placement in a magazine ad, prominent logo placement on giveaway bags.
Literacy for Life is offering several sponsorship opportunities – Continental for $5,000, National for $3,000, Regional for $1,000 and City for $250 – for organizations looking to both gain exposure and participate in the inaugural festival.
All levels of sponsorship will allow organizations to having their logo on the “Logo Wall,” or the large board that will be on display at the event to recognize the sponsors, and space for informational materials on their tables.

Sponsors that come on board by Sept. 1 will have their logo on the volunteer T-shirts and giveaway totes.
