BrutonThe Bruton golf team lost a head-to-head road match against King William by seven strokes Monday at Queenfield Golf Club in Manquin.

King William finished the nine-hole round with a team score of 182, which edged out Bruton’s combined score of 189.

Sam Carr carded the best round of the day by shooting a 42, which is a season-best nine-hole score for the junior.

The Panthers will continue their season as they play in the third Bay Rivers District golf match at Colonial Heritage Golf Club on Thursday.
