Locals can take advantage of an upcoming deal from Colonial Williamsburg that will allow Historic Triangle residents to access free single day tickets to Colonial Williamsburg and its associated art museums.
Through Aug. 14, adults and accompanying children who live in James City County, York County and the City of Williamsburg can obtain free single day tickets to Colonial Williamsburg.
Residents of Gloucester, Isle of Wight, Surry, Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk and Virginia Beach are also eligible to take advantage of the promotion.
“We are extending this offer to people who live in communities that have been strong supporters of Colonial Williamsburg,” said Skip Ferebee, director of consumer strategy and sales for the living history museum. “Colonial Williamsburg is a national treasure located close to home. We invite our neighbors to experience all that a visit to the Revolutionary City offers.”
Guests will also have access to the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum, the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, 90 acres of gardens, 88 original structures, 500 reconstructed buildings and the interactive spy game that “RevQuest: The King’s Advance.”
Interested parties can sign up for the offer online and then redeem their confirmation letters for a ticket at the Regional Visitor Center. Proof of residency is required to buy tickets.
