Keith Alan George, of Williamsburg, died July 29, 2015, at the age of 40.

Keith was born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida but also spent several of his formative years in Williamsburg. While in Virginia, Keith was a proud member of the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums Corps.

Keith studied at the Florida Institute of Technology and went on to become a commercial airline pilot for 13 years at MESA Airlines, rising to the rank of captain. He loved diving and fishing in the Florida Keys, snow skiing out West and off-roading in his beloved jeep in the Arizona desert.

Keith is survived by his parents, Dan and Ann George, of Williamsburg; brother, Kevin (Mary) George, of Marietta, Georgia; and his niece and nephew.

A visitation in Keith’s honor will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at Nelsen Funeral Home on Strawberry Plains Road. A celebration Keith’s life will be held in Florida at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Keith’s honor to a favorite charity.
