George R. Berger, of Williamsburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, after a long illness. He was 92.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Jeffrey and Gregory.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeanne; son, Barry; and grandchildren, Prudence, Seth and Bryan.
George was a WWII naval pilot and a University of Maine graduate. After a preliminary career in manufacturing, he spent 26 years with Sun Oil Co. in sales and marketing management. He retired in 1984 and has been a Williamsburg resident for more than 30 years. He always felt lucky to have found this area.
George also taught public speaking at the University of Pennsylvania and many companies in Pennsylvania and Virginia. He was a James City County video volunteer and a member of Crown Colony Club.
Services will be private in New Jersey.
