Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center has found its new office manager in Alison Pariso, a New Jersey native with an extensive art background.
Pariso graduated from The Massachusetts College of Art in Boston with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking. She went on to work in several galleries in New York City before taking a position as a gallery director in Hoboken, N.J., where she has lived and worked for the past six years.
These diverse experiences instilled a passion for promoting artistic opportunities in Pariso, which is ultimately how she ended up in Williamsburg.
According to a recent press release from Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center, the organization’s emphasis on community involvement is ultimately what attracted Pariso to the job.
As the office manager, Pariso will be on the front lines of continuing to develop the arts culture that WCAC is striving to foster in Williamsburg.
Pariso will be involved with big picture initiatives such as the ongoing rebranding campaign that WCAC has undertaken since it announced the name change from This Century Art Gallery last month, in addition to day-to-day operations within the organization.
“Alison brings an array of impressive experience in the fine arts,” said Tempy Barbru, the center’s executive director.
