The York County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for positions on the York County Arts Commission and the Williamsburg Arts Commission.
The resignation of Sheila Myers, who is a member on both art commissions, is the reason for the vacancies. Each commission is looking to fill one position.
The York County Arts Commission, a five-member panel that advises the Board of Supervisors on cultural arts, meets in October, January and July, as well as June, if necessary. The vacant spot can be filled by any resident of York County.

A nine-member Arts Commission, the Williamsburg Arts Commission gives one spot to a York County liaison and meets at least once every two months. That liaison helps coordinate arts funding between York County and Williamsburg.
In order to be appointed to this vacancy, the York County citizen must reside in the Bruton District.
Interested citizens can apply to fill the vacancies by filling out an application at the County Administrator’s Office in Yorktown.
