Investigators found bullet casings and fragments in a James City County neighborhood after witnesses reported hearing multiple shots and a crowd of people early Sunday morning.
James City County Police launched an investigation on the 900 block of Foley Drive regarding a “promiscuous shooting,” which is when a witness reports hearing shots fired but does not know details.
Investigators believe the shots were fired around 1 a.m. Sunday, according to a post on the James City County Facebook page.
Anyone who may have insight on the incident or people who may have been involved are asked to call the Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
The department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case. Callers may remain anonymous and do not have to testify in court.
