Child Development Resources will host its third annual Baby Shower, a service it provides to low-income new and expectant mothers in the Historic Triangle community.

Close to 150 pregnant or new moms are expected to attend this year’s event, according to a news release from CDR. The purpose of the event is to make these moms and their significant others aware of the resources available to them within the community.

Attendees will also receive gift bags stuffed with essentials such as bibs, blankets and clothing.

As in past years, several of CDR’s partner organizations will be present at the shower to provide additional information about their services.

The shower will take place at Crosswalk Church on July 30. Interested parties can register to attend by calling 566-TOTS.
