Williamsburg Parks and Recreation is accepting registrations until Aug. 6 for its upcoming fall softball season.
The leagues, which are split up into coach pitch and fast pitch, are open to players of all skill levels between the ages of 6 to 16.
Ages 6 to 8 participate in coach pitch softball, while fast pitch softball is broken up into three different age groups: 9 to 10, 11 to 13 and 14 to 16.
Practices for the fall season begin in late August, while the season will officially begin the Monday after Labor Day and will run through mid-October.
Tyler Cobb, a recreation supervisor with Williamsburg Parks and Rec, said players will need to supply their own glove, cleats and pants or shorts to participate in the league.
“We have most of the equipment,” he said. “We supply bats, balls, catchers gear and a game shirt for each participant.”
To sign a single child up for coach pitch softball costs $30. A second child costs $20 to register, while each additional child costs $10. Fast pitch is slightly more expensive, running $40 for the first child, $30 for the second child and $20 for each additional child.
Interested parties can register at the Quarterpath Recreation Center located at 202 Quarterpath Road or online at the Williamsburg Parks and Recreation website.
