Drivers commuting between Jamestown and Surry on the ferry this morning should expect delays as two of four vessels are not running.

A Virginia Department of Transportation spokesperson said the ferries Williamsburg and Surry are the only ships in operation and can each carry 50 cars across the James River.

Drivers should plan accordingly and can call 800-VA-Ferry for ferry traffic updates.
