Becky Olson O’Connell, 64, wanted to be remembered for ‘all the good times’ is your source for free news and information in Williamsburg, James City & York Counties.

Becky Olson O’Connell, of Williamsburg, died June 30, 2015, at the age of 64.

She was born on June 7, 1951, in Petersburg, the daughter of Frances Royal Olson and Roger Algot Olson. They went before her as did her two beloved aunts, Lillian Royal Stouffs and Nell Royal Rhodes, of Richmond.

Becky is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael S. O’Connell, and their two sons, Michael Matthew and Bryan Tucker. Becky was very close to her two daughters-in-law, Bridget and Michelle. She adored her three grandchildren, Hannah Mackenzie, Alexander Patrick and Cameron Davis O’Connell. Becky also leaves behind her sister, Nancy Olson Ohlinger, her husband Charlie and Nancy’s two children, Nick and Liza Tatar and their families.

Becky was a 1969 graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News and a 1971 graduate of Riverside School of Nursing. Becky wants us to remember all the good times: her wedding to Mike; the births of her sons; their weddings and grandchildren; holiday celebrations around the table; shopping with her mom; aunts and sister in Richmond; boat parties on the James; and neighborhood get-togethers.

Becky was a very wonderful, sincere and loving person to everyone she met and she will be missed.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg. Becky will be laid to rest at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg during a private service for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg.

Please leave online condolences for the family at Bucktrout Funeral Home.
