Kirk Barry F. Miller, of Yorktown, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the age of 63.

Kirk was a native of Seward, Kansas and was a Peninsula resident since 2002. He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and retired as a lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Air Force in 2002 after 27 years of years of faithful service to his country as a KC135 tanker pilot. After his retirement, he was employed at Langley Air Force Base as a training specialist.

Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth J. Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Ah-Tuan (Judy) Miller; his mother, Virginia Miller; his daughter, Tracy; and sons, Jeff, Wesley, David and Jimmy. He is also survived by a sister, Selena and her husband, Calvin and one grandson.

A memorial mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yorktown. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
