Jennings B. “J.B.” Lewis, of Williamsburg, died June 12, 2015, at the age of 89.

He was born Feb. 24, 1926, in Emmerton and has resided in Williamsburg since 1963.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Katherine (Kitty) Martin and Bernetta Whisnant.

J.B. retired from Anheuser-Busch and was a charter member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and received a Purple Heart.

J.B. is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donnie Bernice Moore Lewis; his son, David A. Lewis and his fiancé, Pat Reinholz, of Fairfield, California; his daughter, Paula L. Kiser and her husband, Mark Kiser, of Newberry, South Carolina; grandchildren, Sam Kiser and Jeff Kiser; and his brother, Luttrell N. Lewis (Shirley), of Locust Hill.

A visitation will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. Interment at Williamsburg Memorial Park will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walnut Hills Baptist Church, 1014 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
