James Franklin Asbury, of Williamsburg, died June 14, 2015, at the age of 19.

The beloved son and brother dispatched for Williamsburg Taxi Service and loved the wrecker industry for many years.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Asbury and a grandfather, Shelton Carlton.

James is survived by his parents, Lilean and David Asbury, of Williamsburg; three brothers, David Merrill and Robert Asbury, of Williamsburg and Kenneth Shortridge, of Phoenix; two sisters, Cathy Bowers, of Newport News and Crystal Asbury, of West Point; his “Mema,” Janet Carlton, of Williamsburg; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Vincent Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2015, at the funeral home.
