More than 800 athletes are expected to participate in the Challenge Williamsburg Triathlon on Sunday, meaning portions of major roads in the county will be temporarily closed throughout the morning.

- Greensprings Road
- John Tyler Highway

- Opportunity Way
- Little Creek Dam Road
- Forge Road
- Diascund Road
- Richmond Road in Toano in Lanexa
Cranston’s Mill Pond Road will be closed to everyone but those who live on the road for the duration of the triathlon.
Though delays are only expected from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., motorists can expect to find cyclists on county roads throughout the day.
Police officers will be on hand to direct traffic during the race.
The triathlon is part of the Challenge Family, which has 44 full- and half-distance triathlons in 21 countries. It was known as REV3 in 2014, however the name has changed for this year.
