Rain Interrupts Historic Triangle Postseason Play

bat and ballA third consecutive day of rain in the Historic Triangle has affected prep sports schedules in the area.

Of the four postseason games scheduled for Wednesday, only one will be played. That lone game is Bruton’s boys soccer game at Riverheads in the 2A East semifinal.

Two softball games and a baseball game have been pushed back to Thursday.

Below are a list of games that have been affected:

Baseball

  • Grafton’s home game against Hanover in the 4A South semifinal will be played at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Softball

  • Grafton’s home game against Glen Allen in the 4A South semifinal will be played at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
  • Warhill’s neutral site game against Loudoun Valley in the 3A East softball semifinal has been postponedĀ to 4 p.m. Saturday at Riverbend High.
