Carolyn Hudgins Robins died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at the age of 85.
Carolyn was a native of Newport News and a graduate of Hampton High School class of 1947 and graduated from Mary Washington College in 1951. She was an active volunteer in York County and with Yorktown Arts Foundation and a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sara Hudgins Morris and her brothers, Jack Douglas Hudgins and Maywood Hudgins Jr.
Carolyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Augustine Warner Robins; her children, William Tyler Robins (Jana Blue), of Richmond, Augustine Warner Robins Jr. (Virginia Thomas), of Vienna, Austria, Matthew Todd Robins (Jean Wooldridge), of Richmond, Katherine Hudgins Robins, of Richmond and Andrew Murray Robins (Karen), of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Duke, Mac, Courtney, Thomas, Alison, Evan, Bonnie, Beth, Kurt, Jenna and Annemarie; and great-grandchildren, Emmalee, Ellie Beth, Maggie, Lillian and Beau.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Grace Episcopal Church, Yorktown. A reception will follow at the church parish hall.
