Max Poelker and Cameron Dail each scored a pair of goals to help lead York to a 5-1 home win against Warhill in the Conference 25 semifinals Tuesday.
Poelker scored the game’s opening goal in the second minute, which was followed up later by Dail in the 16th minute of play.
Warhill’s Danny Cretney brought the Lions within one goal in the 37th minute of play, bringing the halftime score to 2-1 in favor of York.
Five minutes into the second half, Poelker found the net for the second time. Bailey McClure effectively put the game out of reach five minutes later by finding the back of the net to put York up 4-1. Dail tallied his final goal of the game with seven minutes left in the contest.
York (14-2-2) will host Lafayette in the Conference 25 championship game Thursday and will automatically advance to the 3A East tournament.
Warhill’s season (6-5-2) comes to a close short of clinching a regional berth.

Lafayette Blows Past Warhill
Reeves Trott scored a hat trick to lead Lafayette past Poquoson 7-2 at home in Tuesday’s Conference 25 semifinal matchup.
Lafayette held a 2-0 halftime advantage thanks to a pair of Trott goals before exploding for five goals in the second half.
Tobi Yanez scored an unassisted goal to open the scoring for the Rams five minutes into the second half. Poquoson answered nine minutes later with a goal, which was quickly responded to with Trott’s third goal of the contest.
The Rams (11-3-2) will visit top-seeded York in the Conference 25 championship game Thursday. Lafayette will also automatically advance to the 3A East Region tournament.

Bruton Blows Past King William
Miguel Martinez and Chuckie Tenbusch each scored two goals to give Bruton a decisive 6-1 road win against King William in the Conference 33 quarterfinals Tuesday.
After holding a narrow 1-0 halftime lead, the Panthers scored three goals over a three-minute span to quickly extend their lead to 4-0.
The Panthers (8-8) will face a tough test in the Conference 33 semifinals as they take on top-seeded Windsor on the road Wednesday.
